nombook
your own little cookbook
Get it on the App StoreNombook is a recipe diary. Write down the dishes you actually cook — a photo or one of the hand-drawn covers, the ingredients, the steps — then log each time you make it and how it turned out.
It is not a discovery app and it is not a social network. It is your cookbook, kept on your phone.
What it does
- Write a recipe by hand, from a photo of a cookbook page, from a pasted block of text, or from a link.
- Cook from it in a full-screen mode that keeps the screen awake, with a timer on any step that needs one.
- Keep a diary — every cook, with a star rating, a note and photos of how it came out.
- Plan the week and build a shopping list from the ingredients.
- Find something to cook from what is actually in the fridge.
- Send a recipe to a friend as a link. They keep their own copy.

No accounts, no sign-up, no password. No ads, no subscriptions, no tracking. There is no Nombook server: your cookbook lives on your iPhone, and — if you leave iCloud Sync on — in your private iCloud, which we cannot read.
